The South African Association of Numismatic Dealers (SAAND) is a non-profit association of professional numismatists founded in 1983. SAAND’s function is to ensure a high degree of professionalism by its members. Each SAAND member has agreed to a strict code of ethics, which is enforceable by our constitution. SAAND members are engaged in the retail numismatic trade, primarily in South African numismatics, and may conduct business from anywhere in the world. One can buy with confidence from SAAND dealers with a guarantee of authenticity.

 

 
SAAND maintains an Association of Numismatic Dealers having the following objectives:
  • To maintain the highest standards within the numismatic trade
  • To guarantee the authenticity of all items offered for sale.
  • To promote and protect the professional interests of members of the Association.
  • To consider any questions connected with Numismatics or the Numismatic Trade.
  • To promote, support or oppose legislative or other measures affecting Numismatic Trade.
  • To promote the settlement of disputes (whether between members of the Association or between a member and his client) by reconciliation or arbitration.
  • To sponsor or organize or assist in the organization of exhibitions, seminars and lectures regarding Numismatics.
  • To join or co-operate with any other society or association concerned with the advancement of Numismatics or of the interest of the Numismatic Trade.
  • To establish and maintain a code of ethics which shall be binding on all members.
